Named after its stunning barn-style archway windows at both the front and back, Archway Cottage is flooded with natural light all year round—whatever the weather. This beautifully converted barn blends rustic charm with modern comforts, making it a welcoming retreat for couples, families, or friends.
Downstairs, the cottage features a spacious lounge with large arch windows offering wonderful views to the north and south. Whether you're curled up watching the huge TV or simply soaking in the scenery, it’s the perfect place to relax. Free WiFi is available, so you can stay connected—or switch off and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The separate oak kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, including a ceramic electric hob, fan oven, fridge (with small ice box), and dishwasher. A stair gate at the kitchen entrance helps keep little ones (or soggy dogs!) safely in or out as needed.
Upstairs you’ll find:
A double bedroom and a twin room, both featuring the charming tops of the archway windows as unique floor-level features, plus standard opening windows
Room in either bedroom for a cot or Z-bed (£20 supplement)
A bathroom with bath and overhead shower – the only cottage here with a bath!
Outside:
A private patio and lawned garden, fenced and perfect for dogs or children
A gate leads to a shared garden, and another takes you into the back field, with a footpath to the village
Barbecue available, and a gazebo-style barbecue hut with crockery/cutlery is available to hire for family gatherings

Exposed stonework on the landing and original oak beams in the bedrooms
New wooden flooring throughout the downstairs (updated December 2019)
Parking right outside to unload, then allocated parking just 20 yards away
Can sleep up to 5 guests with an optional Z-bed or child in a cot (£20)
